This Autumn, Jane Street is bringing Portal, an immersive program, to Zurich, Switzerland. We
invite university students across Europe to participate in this multi-day event, designed to
provide a deeper understanding of our work as a quantitative trading firm. Selected participants
will engage in strategic games, technical activities, and insightful talks that showcase the
analytical and problem-solving skills we use in trading, research and technology.
Our programs provide valuable opportunities to explore the technical aspects of quantitative
trading and the careers that drive our work. Students who participate in our programs gain
practical skills and knowledge, and some have gone on to receive offers for our internships. No
prior knowledge of finance is required—just an interest in discovering what a career in trading at
Jane Street could look like.
Participants will arrive in Zurich on the evening of Thursday, 25th September, and can depart
either on the evening of Sunday, 28th September, or anytime on Monday, 29th September. Jane Street
will provide all travel to and from Zurich, including meals, accommodation, and social events.

Jane Street works differently. We are a quantitative trading firm active
on more than 200 trading venues across 45 countries. As a liquidity provider
and market maker, we help form the backbone of global markets. Our approach
is rooted in technology and rigorous quantitative analysis, but our success
is driven by our people.
We are always recruiting top students and we invest heavily in teaching and
training. The environment at Jane Street is open, informal, intellectual,
and fun. People grow into long careers at Jane Street because there are
always new and interesting problems to solve, systems to build, and theories
to test. More than twenty years after our founding, it still feels like
we're just getting started.
