This summer, Jane Street is excited to host our fourth annual WiSE programme in London! We are inviting self-identifying women, transgender and/or gender-expansive people graduating from secondary school this spring to spend two days in our office learning more about who we are, what we do and how we do it. Individuals who are selected to attend this event will receive an in-depth look into the ways we use math, computer science and probability concepts in trading, as well as insight into the different roles that exist within our firm. Participants will hear from and interact with various traders and technologists, and learn how they transitioned from their university concentrations in STEM fields to careers at Jane Street. The curriculum will demonstrate how our many teams, including trading, software engineering, research and business strategy, collaborate every day to solve complex problems. Participants will also attend a social event to get to know Jane Street and other programme participants. Students will arrive on the afternoon of Sunday, 16th August and will depart the morning of Wednesday, 19th August. Jane Street will provide travel to and from London, housing and financial assistance for meals and incidentals. Our office is located in Devonshire Square, close to Liverpool Street, and the hotel where you’ll be staying is just a few blocks away. All Jane Street events will be chaperoned and Jane Street will provide additional onsite security at the hotel accommodations. |
