Presenting our findings on Hardcaml and Hardcaml MSM

In early 2024, part of the Jane Street Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) team attended the International Symposium on Field-Programmable Gate Arrays (ISFPGA) in California. ISFPGA is one of the premier conferences for advances in the field of FPGA design, for both academia and industry.

We were really excited to be able to present both Hardcaml, the FPGA design language Jane Street uses internally, and Hardcaml MSM, a cryptography accelerator design we worked on in our free time outside work that won first place in the ZPrize competition. It was great to network and talk to both students and professionals who share our enthusiasm in designing efficient and performant systems in this space.
