Over the course of several days, a select group of university students will meet Jane Street employees and learn how math and computer science have a real-world impact on the work we do. Participants will also gain a detailed look at the many different roles within our firm.
We offer classes and activities in two separate tracks: trading and research, and software engineering.
In the trading and research program, through short lectures, data-based activities, and mock trading sessions, students will explore mathematical and financial concepts, including probability, market structure, arbitrage, and machine learning applications.
In the software engineering program, students will learn about the concepts, tools, and skills that we use in our everyday work through talks and hands-on activities. Working together with full-time Jane Street developers, they’ll build experience with programming fundamentals, software design principles, and development practices that are used throughout the industry.
There is no prior knowledge of finance required for this event, only an interest in seeing what a career at Jane Street might look like. Please apply only to the location nearest you.
