Over the course of three days in our London office, a select group of self-identifying women, transgender and gender-expansive university students who are interested in trading and programming will attend a series of classes and activities to learn how math and computer science are used to solve real-world problems at Jane Street. Attendees will also gain insight into the many different roles that exist within our firm.

In the trading programme, students will learn about mathematical and financial topics such as probability, market structure, and arbitrage through a combination of short classroom lectures, group games, and mock trading sessions.

In the software development programme, students will learn about OCaml and the libraries and tools we use in our everyday work, as well as the fundamentals of building electronic trading systems. Participants will put these tools to use by writing the backend and UI for a computer game and a program that trades on a simulated stock exchange.
